Who Are We?
Theta Tau is a national engineering fraternity that stands as one of the largest and oldest of its kind with its founding as far back as 1904. It stands and upholds among its members the three pillars of community service, brotherhood, and professional development that each foster a positive experience and direction for future Engineers to be successful in the real world. Combining professionalism, philanthropy, and social connections for creation of a well-rounded individual is a concept inspired by ancient greek engineers. Drexel Theta Tau strives to offer personal aid and guidance to ambitious engineering students who wish to better themselves while also working towards their future professional career paths. It is a safe environment for engineering of all types that people are welcome to join without criticism in the pursuit of making lifelong connections. There are many chair positions and leadership roles within our organization that give our members the chance to hold responsibilities and give back to what has benefitted them. Learning to coordinate in a group dynamic such as this is also important for the governance critical of work environments to further advance our members' experiences.
The Three Pillars of Theta Tau
Brotherhood
Our brotherhood pillar is a fundamental aspect of our fraternity. It not only helps promote networking but a culture of support, kinship, and sociability. This pillar encourages our members to form close-knit relationships in which we support each other's personal, academic and professional goals. The relationships our members form last well past graduation, and continue to impact each other’s lives long into their professional careers and social lives.
Professional Development
Our chapter focuses on professional development by encouraging academic growth as our members work towards furthering their career as an engineer. We help our members gain technical skills and prepare for working in a professional setting. We offer our members networking events, interview practice, resume development assistance, and mentorship opportunities.

Community Service
The third pillar of the Theta Tau fraternity is Community Service. Community service means dedicating time or resources to provide benefit to communities in need. Each term, all active brothers complete service to help better the community. Many brothers choose to donate time by volunteering at community service events. Other ways we help the community is through monetary donations along with other items such as food, clothes, etc. Our community service chair provides opportunities throughout the term to help brothers achieve their community service requirements and record the service completion rate at the end of term for all active members.
